H-B/C-3 Program
Congratulations to Kelly Doyle for passing her C-3.
Please join me in congratulating our newest HB members! There were a total of 13 candidates at the testing this past weekend and 10 were from CNE. Three of our candidates just need to retest on a small portion and should become HBs in the very near future. The other seven who achieved their new rating this weekend are: Haley Farwell, Kelly Doyle and Allison Ware from Groton PC, Carolyn Drover from Rockingham PC, and Brittany Taylor, Claire Siebols and McKenzie Fowler from Overlook PC.
Thank you so much to all the parents who contributed food for both the prep camp and the testing, and to those who helped organize the meals, etc. Your assistance was greatly appreciated!

See application for the CNE HB prep camp. It is on Sunday, June 6th, the day after Show Jumping Rally. Also available an application for an HB HA prep in Western NY State. If you are unable to attend our camp or are looking for another prep experience, please check out this opportunity. The CNE prep is open to other regions space permitting, so please send your paperwork back to me as soon as possible to guarantee a spot.
Also, just a reminder that we have a prep at my house in Nashua on Friday night at 7:00. Karen will start on the dot so please do not be late. We have a ton of stuff to cover. We'll be discussing teaching, conditioning, land conservation, maintanance records and then the veterinary knowledge that's on the HB test cards. If you can familiarize yourself with the equine diseases and parasites listed, we will be able to cover a lot of iinformation. Please contact me if you have any questions. Thanks. Wendy
Remember, all HB and C3 testing applications must be mailed to me by the 25th which is next Thursday. Checks payable to USPC must accompany fully completed and signed applications. Check the USPC website for the Western NE C3 test date (closest test site) and alternative testing dates for the HB and C3. Please contact me with any questions.
The next HB prep will be on Friday night April 9 at 7 pm at Wendy Johnson's house in Nashua with Karen Marcotte.
The C3 prep program will have a combination kickoff and bandaging clinic at Shepley Hill Farm in Groton on Saturday April 17 at 1 pm. Please bring all bandaging materials. We'll provide the horses.
The following C3 preps are tentatively scheduled. There will be a longeing/flatwork prep at Shepley Hill with Karen Marcotte on May 1. There will be a Richard Lamb grids clinic on May 15, and C3 preps on 5/30, 6/29 and 7/22 with details to follow.

There will be an H-B one day mock rating prep camp at UNH on Sunday, June 6.
There will be an H-B kick off meeting on Saturday December 5th at my house in Nashua from 3:00 to 4:30 pm. DCs, would you please notify all eligible members. As I've mentioned, if you have any mature C1s who will be going for their C-2 in the spring, they are welcome to participate in the preps. Both parents and kids are welcome to attend this informational meeting. If you have a member who is interested but can't make the meeting, please have her email me to let me know her interest. Hopefully I'll have a complete email list for all possible H-B candidates and their parents. Any questions, please contact me.Thanks.

The next D3/C1 Clinic, to be held at UNH from 1-3. Laurie Chapman Bosco gives a great clinic every year. Basic conformation in the classroom for an hour and then hands on conformation with the horses in the indoor arena. Please let all your members know they are welcome. This is a great educational as well as social opportunity for the region. (Our neighboring regions are also welcome) We will have a special breakout session for HB and HA candidates as well. D-3/C-1 program is kicking off the program a month early this year so please let your club members know as soon as possible. The program is available to all rating levels.
